Soldering Class Introduction

This class is for individuals having little practical experience building and assembling/soldering electronic projects or kits. The class will be held in Linden on Saturday July 22 from noon to around 4 PM. The class size is limited to 16 so get your reservation in as soon as you can. The class includes a lecture and the assembling and soldering of a take-home project (small digital clock) as well as a soldering practice session before beginning the take-home project.

Registration and pre-payment: $20 + PayPal processing fee of 91¢

Quick list of things to bring:

    • Safety Glasses – Absolutely Required! ($2 at Harbor Freight)
    • Soldering Iron, 60 watt or so ($9 and up – available at Amazon, Home Depot, Lowes, etc.)
    • Solder – Tin Lead Rosin Core recommended ($9 at Amazon) or lead-free solder ($8 at Amazon)
    • Small side cutters ($8 at Harbor Freight)
    • Needle Nose Pliers ($4 at Harbor Freight)
    • Big Smile (Free)

We will send each participant a detailed map of how to get to the class site once enrollment is closed.
